Cousins layout

Happy Monday!
Are your kiddies (if you have any)  back in school yet??
My youngest one starts Kindergarten this afternoon,
she is then off tomorrow, and then
full days the rest of the week.
It is formatted like this to
slowly integrate the kids
into Kindergarten.
The class was divided into 2 groups--
April is in group B, so
it is the afternoon for her!

She is uber excited!!

I was able to get some crafting done this weekend!
Yay Me!
I had an old photo of myself with my cousins
that I had been wanting to scrapbook for
quite some time now.
I stayed with the muted
tones of the photo onto my layout.
I used basic grey's Hey Girl and Hey Boy
papers for the the mat behind the photo.
The cardstock is from DCWV.
The enamel letters are something from my stash
from many, many moons ago.
Various die cuts from Teresa Collins, Crate paper.
Title letters are from
Amy Tangerine ('Cousins'), Jillibean Soup ('friends').
The chipboard ampersand is from Crate Paper.
Black arrow is from Heidi Swapp,
yellow chipboard is from Crate paper.
The brads are from Basic Grey, Making Memories.

After I finished my layout,
I realized it was eligible for a challenge!!

Thanks for joining me today!
Have a great day!

The Design Team were able to choose
an image, and I chose
this one:
Here is what I came up with:

I think that image worked with my pictures, and page.
I am slowly getting more and
more confident in sharing my
PL pages! :)

So, that is it for me for now!
We're getting ready to do some retail shopping
for my little sidekick!
She is starting Kindergarten on Monday.
So, today, shoes, water bottle, Thermos,
and her request, glue dots.
Yeah, Glue Dots!!

them properly !! lol

Cards by April

Hiya!

Back again--this time with my sidekick!
She loves to craft!!
That makes me so happy--another
crafting person in the house !!
(Although I don't think my hubby will
appreciate it too much--more scrappy purchases)
LOL
But it's all good!
April is starting school in a few days,
and, in my experience, with school,
there are always birthdays and parties
and such.
So, I talked to April about this,
and we (more like HER!)
created some cards--
to be prepared, you know?
She loves to give cards!
She used die cuts from Fancy Pants Desing 'True Friends' collection.
No joke, friends, she did this one herself!!!
I don't know about you, but I am
impressed, and quite proud of her!!
For this one, she looked for a jar die cut, which thankfully I had
received from my pocket page pal, and she chose a 'hello'
die cut from a swap I had participated a while back.
Flowers and puffy stickers are from stash.
She has a good eye! (I could be bias, though!) :D

This is one I whipped up together.
I used a coffee stain stencil, with
TH Distress inks.
The polka dot ribbon (adhesive) is from
a swap, and the coffee
cup is a die cut from my PP pal!
The stamped sentiment is from Prima.
She would like to enter these cards into a challenge:

Did you know??
Hiding In My Craft Room
is celebrating 6 years!!!
Congratulations!!!

So, that is it for us!

Foodie In Training

Happy Friday!!
How was your week??
My week could have been good,
with missing my son, and darn techno
issues!
My son (one of them) has left for college on Saturday past,
and to be honest, it has been a rough
transition for us all, especially his twin,
who will also be leaving us for
another college in a bit.
Sigh!
Well, one way
to distract myself is to play
in my craft room.
I created some layouts.
yay!
I used a collection that I had
bought a few months back.
It's October Afternoon's Saturday Mornings.
I must say, I am a sucker for OA products.

Of course, my subject for my layout is one
of my darling children.
This one is of April, around 10 months ago.
I used bits and pieces from the line--whch I thought
worked wonderfully for my picture.
April helped me chose which to use--she's my sidekick, you know!

I am entering this layout into the following challenge:
Hiding In My Craft Room #212d-Die Cuts

Who by the way are celebrating their 6th Anniversary!!
And are having some fun over there with challenges !!
Check them out:

Well, that is it for me for now!
Will be back soon!

Fancy Pants Designs 'True Friend'.

Howdy do, folks!

We are on our third challenge of the day!

Our third challenge is

HIMCR #212c--Happy Birthday!!

 Fitting, isn't it?? :)

Our sponsor is

Graciellie Design!
(have you seen some of her stuff?? wow)

The giveaway is a digital stamp set!!

The DT were given some
 images to use, and I
was so attracted to theses gorgeous doilies!
So, I chose them!

Then, I wasn't sure how I would use them!
Figures, right? :)

I wanted to keep it simple--
and I came up with this:
 I embellished the doilies with
some Stickles, after I
painfully fussy cut the doilies--ugh! :)
(it's for a good cause, right?)
So, that is my card!
 Simple---well--not really--
once everything was ready, it was!
LOL
Until next time--really soon!
