Any Holiday at HIMCR

Hi, Hi, Hi!!!
Happy Saturday!

New challenge over at the HIMCR blog today.

Any Holiday!!

And our sponsor this week is DCWV

Love me some DCWV!!
Especially $100 in DCWV goodies!!!

Of course, where I live,
these delicious products are hard to find at our Michael's.
But I had some, from winning some challenges.
Now it was to choose a holiday.
Believe it or not, it was actually quite daunting.

What a task! lol

So, I went went Mother's Day!

Here is my creation:

I used papers from the Good Wood Stack, the Painted Petals Stack
and the cardstock stack.

Image result for DCWV painted petal stack

I then used a scalloped punch, and a blossom punch;
punched out flowers, cut out a circle from the white cardstock.

Then le voila!

The stamped sentiment is from a SSS stamp set,
and the ink is Hero Arts Shadow ink-Grey.

Well, that is it for me for now.
Hope to see your creations!!

Hi Laura !
I haven't been hiding in my craft room, in fact I rarely go near it and my computer in quite a while, but I was happy to see your pretty card today. We spent our morning shovelling what was basically snow soup, so the pretty sunflowers were a welcome bright spot

Saturday with some embossing

   Happy Saturday, folks!
I for one, am sooo happy, more like relieved, that it is Saturday!!
What a week!!
Today, my little princess is having a playdate, and the hubs and I
are going out for a bit ...by OURSELVES!!
I can count on one hand how many times we went out in the past 5 years,
 just him and I.
Years. yes, years.
not good. I know.
But we're working on it.

Over on the Hiding In My Craft Room blog today,
the challenge is::::::
HIMCR #191---Embossing!
Any type!
Heat, Dry...uh, is there another type?? eekk..don't know!
lol
I was undecided as to which type, dry or heat, so, I did both!
With the sponsor being Pickled Potpourri this week,
Pickled Potpourri Designs
the Design Team were given a variety of images to work with.
I chose the flowers. Spring is coming!!
2 cards with 2 flower choices, with 2 types of embossing!
Such fun!

Sunday 15 March 2015

Sunday, with some awesome!

  Happy Sunday!
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend!

I, for one, cannot believe it is already Sunday!

I had the opportunity to play in my craft room yesterday (and today!)
Did I make a dent in the photos needed to be put onto layouts?
Probably not, but I enjoyed myself.
I made a layout based on a mood board over on the
Amazing mood board!

Here is my creation:

I used MME market Street collection.
The colors seem to match the mood board beautifully!!
The title is freehand, with a broad tip Sharpie! :)

That is it for me for now!
Have a great day!

HIMCR #190--Freestyle

 Happy Saturday!!

I hope you had a great week!
Thank you for dropping in for a visit.

Saturday means that there is a new challenge over on
This week, HIMCR #190, is
Freestyle!!!

And our sponsor is Papertemptress.com !

Let me just say this: the papers from here are....WOW!!
I cannot describe the quality, the beauty of the papers. Words would not do it justice.
I am being serious.
The first time I receive my papers from PaperTemptress, my jaw dropped open.
No joke!
Beautiful, gorgeous, and oh so luxurious!!
And if you are anything like me, which I am sure of, you will want to be 'petting' the papers...
:)
Anyways, enough of the oohing and aahing.
On to my card.
The photo does not do justice to the papers used. (Not
that the image is great---still working with my tablet!)
I used patterned papers from Dear Lizzy's new line, Serendipity.
The bow is die cut from Maggie Holmes die set,
and the stamp is from Penny Black Slapstick set.
Made this for my Mommy-In-Law....think she'll like it?? :)

That is it for me for now!

Cannot wait to see what you all create!!

Have a great day!
Be safe. Get crafty.

Crafty steals block challenge

 Happy Sunday!
I saw an awesome challenge on CraftyStealls.com,and decided to take a shot at it.
The callenge was to create a block, either square or rectangle.
I chose rectangle.
These are photos from some years ago, when we first moved up tot the Laurentians.
We had a spectacular  view from our kitchen, and we had daily visitors.
Blue Jays! Galore!
Sassy creatures--always willing to give us a show! lol

Used Lily Bee paper, MME paper, DCWV washi,
American Crafts Thickets, various element stickers from OA, Echo Park, MME.

Unfortunately, the quality of my layout is not the best--it is from my tablet.
until I get my laptop, I am reduced to using this tablet. Sigh!

Have a great evening!
