Cheers!

Happy Saturday!
Happy Holidays!
I hope you all had a safe and happy holiday, and still are!
Ours was...interesting. Lol

Our area ended with a freak windy storm on Thursday.
Which led to power being knocked out for some time.
Thankfully, where we live, because
Of where we live, we have a generator.
And fireplaces. Also, the weather was very mild.
There wasn't any snow on the ground-- it was in the plus temperatures.
Very un-seasonal! Anyways, no power.
Let me say, one does not realize how much they rely on
The electricity until they are without it!
I had started the turkey very early, thankfully,
And it was almost finished by the power decided to take a break.
Finished cooking it on our wood stove.

But, it was all good.

Santa stopped by during the night, and
April almost caught him. She did see him, and tried to
Catch, but Santa was too quick for her!
He did leave lots of goodies for everyone.
Enough of that, right? Onwards!

So, with the holidays, things are a little behind here in blog land,
As you may have noticed. Lol
I have my challenge ready. Had it ready for some
Time, but......you know.
As for the challenge, my internet is not reliable right now, and is
Giving me the hardest time. Grr!

But I will show you my card, and I will edit my post later on,
When Laurie has the official blog up.
As you can, I made a shaker card! They are such fun!
All the. Papers are from DCWV, and the
Stars are actually foam stickers from 3L Adhesives,
With lots of glitter on!
The sequins are from Studio Calico,
And the letters ("CHEER") are from Echo Park.
My girl is coloured with my Prismacolor coloured pencils.

So that is it!

See you soon,  my peeps!
Be safe. Get crafty.

Ode to my Favorite Challenge

Happy Saturday!
wow!
Crunch time--
the big day is almost here!

My college son is home--
he finished up his last exams this past week.
And he did well!!!
So proud of him!
I know his last exam,
Parisian French, was quite
a challenge.
I tried to help him,
as I am bilingual,
but Quebec French
and Parisian French are very different
in writing, grammar terms.
But he did it!

And my little girl is off
Kindergarten for her winter break.
She is pretty excited.
I am blessed--
my 3 children and hubby are with me,
and my pooch!
Love them all!

Enough babbling!

New challenge over on the

HIMCR #230 - Favorite HIMCR 2015 Challenge!

How awesome is that???

My favorite challenge would be either
Freestyle or Favorite Die Cutting machine.

For this card, I used my
Cuttlebug, with one of my
many embossing folders.

(I love embossing folders--!!)

The blue sparkly paper
is from DCWV, cut from
my Cricut machine, from the
Winter Wonderland cartridge.
The snowman stamp is from HOTP,
colored with my Prismacolor
colored pencils.
Although you cannot see it,
the strip is metallic.
sigh--camera is giving me issues...

So, there you have it folks!!
Link up your creations!
Cannot wait to see what you all
have done!
Until next time!

Happy Saturday!
wow!
What a week! a whirlwind week
indeed!
First, it was my birthday this past Wednesday!
A wonderful day with my family,
minus my college boy.
Then, my daughter
woke up with a complete body
rash---all over!
Fun! NOT!
My first thought was chicken pox,
with the way the bumps were.
But nope, the nurse confirmed it.
A food allergy.
and just like her mama, to Kiwis.
More fun. sigh!
She is fine now.
thankfully!

Breathe in, breathe out!
right??

So, today will see hubby and I
finishing up our Christmas shopping
for the church Christmas baskets,

a Project Life spread.

my photos are developed--grr! lol

lol
A tall card, almost 10 inches.
Papers are from a variety of
companies:
DCWV, Craft Smith, 3 Birds
The lovely gal is
colored with my trusty
Prismacolors.
Let me tell you about the
inspiration behind my gal:
I recently an older teen in a grocery store,
with very unusual colored hair--
multicolored--but it looked
AMAZING!
This teen rocked that look--
I highly doubt that I could
look that good at 40+! lol
But it inspired me to
try to copy it onto my
Honey gal.
I didn't 100% succeed, IMO,
but I do like her! lol

So, that is it for me for now!
Have a great day!

Any Holiday!

Happy Saturday!!
Yowza!
Days are just flying by--
next Saturday is Halloween!
Can you believe it??!!
insane!

Today sees a new challenge starting over on the

HIMCR #222 - Any Holiday
Oh yeah! FUN!

Of course, the following holiday
coming up is
HALLOWEEN!

The sponsor for this week's challenge
is the ever lovely
My Besties!

The giveaway is the 5 images used by
the HIMCR design Team!
Let me say, you
will WANT to get in on this one!
It was incredibly hard to decide
which image to use!

I made 2 projects for this week's challenge.
The first being a card.

I went with a different route this time around,
as you can see!
I sprayed my paper with ink sprays (Mr. Huey's)
let it dry, and then printed
my image onto it.
I then outlined my images with Distress markers,
which by the way, I am having the most difficult
time with these days.
Any one else having issues??
Anyways.
The papers used are from
October Afternoon Witch Hazel collection.

My second project is a tag.
I made the tag for the little bag
my daughter is bringing to school full
of treats to give to her little friends.
The glitter is Stickles--added some
bling to it! lol

I used the scraps from my first project!
love it when I don't waste anything!

So, that is it for me for today!
Hope to see some fabulous creations!
Have an awesome day!
Be safe. Get crafty!

pieces and such for it!)
and finally,

I. LOVE. my bug!
It embosses; it cuts;

Don't get me wrong, I love /like my other machines,

I know, I know, nitpicky.

But I am being honest--love the bug!

with newly acquired
embossing folders and dies.

folders and die:

That love die? from the embossing set!

Papers are from Imaginisce Birthday,
as is the sentiment.
Loving this embossing set--it is too cute!

So, we would love to
see what you create with
your favorite cutting tool!!!
