Any Holiday--First Birthday

Happy Saturday to all you folks out there!!

I hope the weather is beautiful,
and you are all able to enjoy it!

Today sees us with a new challenge over on

 HIMCR #205 - Any Holiday!

Any Holiday, folks!

With the sponsor being our fearless
leader, Laurie
from Hiding In My Craft Room
hidinginmycraftroom.com

The giveaway is a Cricut Robot Party Cartridge!
Awesome sauce!

I knew I wanted to make a birthday
card for my great-niece whose
birthday is this weekend,
today, actually.
And I wanted to use my Cricut.
I originally planned on making a cute
Sesame Street card.

Ugh!

4 days later, lots of frustration, tears
and ripped cardstock,
I still did not have a card.
It was not working--my Cricut
was giving me uber headaches.
ugh!

Sigh!
So, come Friday, I still
did not have a card for the birthday girl.
Then, I guess because I was under
pressure or what,
I finished a card under 30 mins.
Not at all what I had originally planned.
But.
I did get it done.
Turned out alright, I guess.
So dang frustration, not being to able my initial idea.
But, it is kinda cute..I guess. lol
The paper used are Imaginisce (base),
Dear Lizzy (stripe)
balloons are from DCWV,
the balloon die is from Provocaft.
The gems are from Prima,
and the twine is from stash.

Anyhow,
that is it for me for now.
Preparing to go down to Montreal
for the birthday party--
yes, a kiddie party, and yes,
I will have Advil for my headache.
lol..
But it should be all good!
My sidekick, April, is quite excited.
Take care, and enjoy the beautiful day!

Love together

Happy Saturday!!

What a week it has been.

I am so relieved that it is Saturday!
New day, right?

New challenge, too,
over on the

This week, it is all about
LOVE. Amour!

Any project with
LOVE!!

Our sponsor is the every so fun

The Design Team were given a choice of images to
work with this week.
Here is what I created:
Paper are from Echo Park; chipboard from teresa Collins, Crate paper, Tim Holtz Grungeboard

Unfortunately it is not the best quality photo.

I apologize for that!

I originally took a very quick photo of finished
with my Ipad earlier this week,
my project was on my craft table.
Well, then an accident happened,
where a part of my ceiling in my craft room
fell down, and guess where it
fell down?
Yeppers--right onto of my craft table!!

The part of the ceiling was connected to
the access part for the pipes--
Please don't ask why, this is our first home,
and while it is beautiful, and lovely,
it need some fixing up, and hen some.
The house inspector, when we looking to buy, told
us that it really needed some love.
lol
The house looks better than when we first bought it,
but still needs work.
Obviously!
I am just thankful that my daughter was not in the area,
as she was a few moments before.
Very thankful!
But my project was ruined, and
I did not have time to create a new one.

So, still cleaning the big mess. ugh!

Hope to see your creations--
it would be great if you can join us!

Super Scraps Saturday, with my sidekick!

Happy Saturday, folks!

May the day be bright and happy for you all!

Today sees a new challenge over on the

HIMCR #203 - Super Scraps Saturday

Woohoo!

Break out those scraps!

Our sponsor this week is the ever fun

The giveaway is a $12 gift certificate to their store.

For my image, I had an idea of what
I wanted to make, to do.
My daughter is very much into ballet,
and I wanted something for her room.
I saw this image, and knew it was perfect!

Well!

It doesn't always come out as one has planned,
especially when I have a sidekick who is
very...'insistent'..on
choosing colors, ribbons, flowers...
Well, it may not have turned out the
way I had envisioned,
but it was fun crafting with my daughter.

I colored the ballet slippers with my Prismacolors,
and delicately used gold Stickles for some of the trim
(sorry you can't see it.)
The ribbon (chosen by April) is from
my stash--rose blush with gold trim.
The flowers are from Dollarama (roses)
and Recollections .
The gold hearts are from
Maggie Holmes 'Open Book' collection.
The pink and white hearts were punched
out from handmade paper, the same
paper that the image is backed onto.
The roses are dabbled with red ink
from Dylusions Ink spray.
(April did that also-she's quite crafty!)
Lots of Glue Dots were used!!
:)
So, that is it for me for now.

Hope you can get crafty!
See you soon!

Happy Friday!
Thank you for joining me this week as
Unity's Growing In Unity!
What an opportunity!
And thank you for the wonderful comments
left on my blog each day this week--
you are all too kind!

For my final card for GIU
I went with a stamp tht just screams friendship!
To me, anyways.

I love this stamp.

Well, I love all my Unity stamps, to be fair,
but some are just more special than others!
This one falls in that category.

I used American Crafts Shimelle's papers from her
debut collection, and the washi tape is from an Etsy shop.
The sentiment is stamped onto DCWV cork,
with Ranger Archival Ink.
The image is colored with Distress Inks and markers,
onto Prima Watercolor paper.

My card is very simple; I wanted the focus on the stamp.

So, that is it for me for today
featuring my cards for Unity's Growing In Unity.

Thank you for joining me!

Don't forget to leave a comment to
be eligible to win an awesome prize from

GIU #4---Trio of cards

It's Day 4 for me as a
Growing In Unity gal!

The week is just flying by--
so is the month, for that matter!

I have a trio of cards for you today.

The first card is with a stamp set that
I absolutely adore--the sock monkey!
Who doesn't love sock monkeys??

I stamped with Simon Says Stamp red ink,
and the papers used are from Fancy Pants Designs
'Be Different', as are the tickets and buttons.
I just adore those papers!

My second card is using a stamp that is quite punny!
yep, punny!
Perfect for a friend who has had a rough day!
The papers are from Basic Grey Grand Bazaar.
The 'stars' are enamel shapes from MME.
Tres simple!

Last,but not least,
my final card for today.

I used papers from Prima's Coffee break collection,
as well as the cork heart embellishment.
The washi tape is from Freckled Fawn (heart) and from Scotch.
The stamp was inked with SSS brown ink.
I also used my Sharpie black pen to outline some elements.

So, that is it for me for today!
be sure to leave a comment on every post for this week
to be eligible to win an awesome prize
from Unity!
They definitely do not disappoint!! :)
.
Thanks for joining me today!
A demain!
