Let's get dolled up

Happy Day to you all....
Thanks for stopping by.

A new challenge is starting over on
the Hiding In My Craft Room blog today.

HIMCR #266 - Super Scraps Saturday!

And the sponsor is:

The giveaway is 3 products from mhk designs!

We, as the design team, were given
the opportunity to choose our
images for this challenge.
I finally decided to choose
this set, called Beautiful Bottles.
It is a beautiful set..
and I have always been intrigued with
perfume bottles, especially the
vintage ones.
The styles, the colors.
I am not one for perfume,
but I do like how they are presented
in their glass bottles.

Here is what I created:

I used my Prismacolored pencils...
I really wanted to keep the vintage look,
and as I really look at it now,
I should have used different papers
for the background..
The papers are from Glitz Designs...
My picture is not the greatest...ugh..
I used a bit of Distress Paint, white picket fence,
on the background to mute the colors a bit.

There you have it, folks.
Be sure to link up your projects
for a chance to win some
beautiful images...they are
gorgeous!!
Challenge ends next Saturday
at 2AM CST! So get yours entered today!

My week was...bizarre

Weather-wise, anyways.
The temperature dropped dramatically--
so much I put my scarf on. lol
It is a running joke in my household--
my kids know when it is cold--I put
my scarf on--yeah, weird!
And the wind---yessh!  Let's just
say there were times when I felt like my
whole house was going to end up
elsewhere! wacky!

Alright, enough gabbing!
A new challenge is starting over on the

Super Scraps Saturday--You are the only one

Happy Saturday!

I hope you are all well, and
have not caught any nasty
viruses out there.
My daughter has shared with me
her cold from the week before,
and it seems to have invited
some of its friends over.
Lovely!

I love my daughter to the
moon and beyond, but
there was no need to share the
germs with me.
ugh! Wipes me out.

Anyways.
New challenge!
woohoo!
HIMCR #250 - Super Scraps Saturday!

And the sponsor:
A day for Daisies!

The giveaway is a
$12 Gift Certificate to
A Day for Daisies!
The Design Team were given the
chance to choose an image
(one of the many perks on being
the design team!)
and here is what I created
I had her printed on red paper--bright
red paper 'borrowed' from
my daughter's stash---shhh!!
Fussy cut, and glued onto white cardstock.
I lightly colored her flesh with
Prismacolor colored pencils.
The script background is
created with a Kaisecraft script clear stamp,
inked with Ranger Arvhival ink.
Gold Stickles were added to accentuate.
The black cardstock is my last piece
of BoBunny double dot cardstock :(
The bling is also from stash--Teresa Collins, I believe.
The gold swoosh is from a die cut exchange.
as is the butterfly.
The sentiment is from My Mind's Eye.
Et le voila! mes amies!
I adore this gal---
I have also enjoyed the styles of eras gone..
except the 80s.
Ohmigoodness...wow!
LOL.
That is it for me.
