So, for this week's challenge,
I went wih a simple card.

A card that was super fun. and super easy to do!
That is, once I had chosen the washi tape--
because, hot diggity, Freckled Fawn has some
YUMMY choices!

I have quite a collection,
and was a member of their
embellishment  monthly kit.
LOVED it!
but with the Canadian dollar being poorly as it is,
I had to stop it. :(

But I wold love to join again!

Anyways, enugh rambling--
on to my card!

The heart washi is from Freckled fawn, aqua is from Scotch.
polka doteed is from My Mind's Eye,
and the mutli-striped is from October Afternoon.
The felt flower is from freckled Fawn,
from a monthly kit.
'Thanks' is a stamp from paper Smooches,
inked with Simon Says Stamp red dye ink.

There you have it, folks!

That is it for me for now.Have an awesome day--
and I can't wait to see what you will create!

Happy Friday!
Thank you for joining me this week as
Unity's Growing In Unity!
What an opportunity!
And thank you for the wonderful comments
left on my blog each day this week--
you are all too kind!

For my final card for GIU
I went with a stamp tht just screams friendship!
To me, anyways.

I love this stamp.

Well, I love all my Unity stamps, to be fair,
but some are just more special than others!
This one falls in that category.

I used American Crafts Shimelle's papers from her
debut collection, and the washi tape is from an Etsy shop.
The sentiment is stamped onto DCWV cork,
with Ranger Archival Ink.
The image is colored with Distress Inks and markers,
onto Prima Watercolor paper.

My card is very simple; I wanted the focus on the stamp.

So, that is it for me for today
featuring my cards for Unity's Growing In Unity.

Thank you for joining me!

Don't forget to leave a comment to
be eligible to win an awesome prize from

GIU #4---Trio of cards

It's Day 4 for me as a
Growing In Unity gal!

The week is just flying by--
so is the month, for that matter!

I have a trio of cards for you today.

The first card is with a stamp set that
I absolutely adore--the sock monkey!
Who doesn't love sock monkeys??

I stamped with Simon Says Stamp red ink,
and the papers used are from Fancy Pants Designs
'Be Different', as are the tickets and buttons.
I just adore those papers!

My second card is using a stamp that is quite punny!
yep, punny!
Perfect for a friend who has had a rough day!
The papers are from Basic Grey Grand Bazaar.
The 'stars' are enamel shapes from MME.
Tres simple!

Last,but not least,
my final card for today.

I used papers from Prima's Coffee break collection,
as well as the cork heart embellishment.
The washi tape is from Freckled Fawn (heart) and from Scotch.
The stamp was inked with SSS brown ink.
I also used my Sharpie black pen to outline some elements.

So, that is it for me for today!
be sure to leave a comment on every post for this week
to be eligible to win an awesome prize
from Unity!
They definitely do not disappoint!! :)
.
Thanks for joining me today!
A demain!

GIU #3--Congrats!

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you are all well!

Thank you for joining me this week as
Unity's Growing In Unity gal!

So exciting!
So, for today, I went with a design
for a card that I had seen on Pinterest.
of course, after I had seen, and was so inspired from it,
I could not find it again!

grrr! Frustrating!

But!

Life goes on!
This card is for a friend who asked me to create a card for
her friend's wedding.
You know the case, for a friend of a friend of mine? :)
I used an awesome stamp that I bought quite a while ago.
that love bug stamp, found here.
I inked the base of the card with my Inker and Distress Ink.
I wanted to give it a soft look, like sky.
The love bug was stamped with Ranger Archival Ink, and
inked with a mixture of blues and grey Distress markers.
The heart shaped balloons are cut from a
Mickey Mouse cut n' emboss folder, in
my loveable Cuttlebug.

The 'strings' are pen markks from my Sharpie pen.
The papers used for the balloons are from the
Maggie Holmes Collections..pretty much my scraps! :)
Congratulations is from Paper Smooches.

Overall, I like it!

Now you may notice that this card is NOT the same
as on the Unity blog. Very true.
That card that I had sent to Unity ran into
a little mishap!
To make a long story short, I had to redo the balloons,
hence the different balloons.

But I like it much better now! :)

So, that is it for me for now.

A demain, mes amies!

GIU Day #2-- Mr. Fix It

Hey, hey, hey!!!

It's Day 2 for me as
Unity's Growing In Unity gal for this week!
So exciting!
The only problem with this is that
with all my stamps,
what to create!!

lol.

Of course, I am sure my collection is small compared
to some other fellow Unity lovers!

I have been loving making tags lately.
So, I created this tag for my hubby
for Father's day, for his gift bag.
This stamp is one of my very favorite stamps--
so different!
I love how it reminds me of my hubby,
who is very handy indeed!

Used my Distress Markers to color him.
He was stamped with Ranger Archival Ink.
I cut him out, adhered him
to Fancy Pants Designs 'Be Different' paper,
onto a shipping tag.
I had some Jesse James tool buttons,
and used Glossy Accents to adhere them onto my tag.
The heart is a wood veneer, colored with Distress Ink, barn red.
Overall, I am liking this!

So, if you have stuck to the end, thank you!

Don't forget to leave a comment so you can be in the draw
for a fab prize pack from Unity, just for commenting!!

How awesome is that!

Until tomorrow, folks!

Let's Do Lunch--GIU Day #1

Hello folks~!

A great way to start the week , for me, anyways!
I am Unity's Growing In Unity Gal this week!

SQUEAL!!!

(imagine that being said in a high pitched, out of tune voice!)
Very exciting for me!

Be sure to stop by every day this week and leave a comment
for a chance to win a fab prize from
Unity!

I was first introduced to Unity stamps
a few years back from some {enabling!!} gals
on a scrapbook forum, Crop Chocolate
to be exact!
Those gals! Love them!

Fast forward to now, and I must say that
Unity stamps are in abundance in my craft room!
Love them so!

So, for my first day as a GIU gal,
I went with a stamp that was brand new (gasp!) in
my room.
A cute stamp!

A very simple card, but colorful!
This is being sent to a friend of mine who just
needs a 'pick-me-up'.

Well, that is it for me for today!

A demain, mes amies!
Until tomorrow!

Be sure to leave a comment in order to be
eligible for a prize from Unity.
Until then,

Happy Father's Day--HIMCR #200 - Any Holiday!

Happy Saturday!
Hope you are well!

Today sees a new challenge over on the

HIMCR #200 - Any Holiday!

Our sponsor this week is

The giveaway is a special bundle

This challenge was the perfect excuse for me to make
a card for my hubby for
Father's Day!

My husband is a HUGE Superman fan,
and every year we try to get, make him something of
his favorite superhero.

It gets to a point that he has everything about the guy!
So, I was looking around my newly
cleaned craft space, and my eyes fell onto my Cricut
machine, with the cartridges.

One caught my eye, and the wheels started!
This is what I came up with this:
I used my Sesame Street cartridge to cut out
Super Grover!!
Love Grover!
I think my hubby will, too!
It was very time consuming--
I had never attempted a card with so many
layers before.
But!
So worth it, no?

Well, that is it for me for now!
See you soon--really soon! ;)

FWF--Sea you soon!

Happy Friday!
Bring on the weekend!

Whoop!

Here is my project for this week:

I made a tag. very unusual for me.
I am not really a tag person, but I must say,
I enjoyed it very much
AND
I believe that I will be making more in the future!

I used Distress Inks for the background--many shades
of blues and greens.
The mermaid was also colored with my Distress Ink, markers
actually, smooshed onto a acrylic block, then
applied with a paintbrush!
Had such fun!

That's it for me for today!
See you soon--very soon! ;)

Button up, Sunshine!

Happy Saturday to you!
Thanks for dropping by!

There is a new challenge over on the

 HIMCR #199 - Button Up
Use buttons on your projects!

This week's sponsor is

The Design Team were given some
uber cute images to play with.
It was really difficult to choose--really it was!

Here is my first project:

I used my Prismacolor pencils to color this lovely watering pan
 and sunflowers.
The papers are from Making Memories Chloe's Closet.
(love that collection!)(and yes, I hoard it!)
The buttons are from Jesse James Buttons.
I had cut the button insert thing
(sorry for the lack of proper terminology!! lol)
with my wire cutters, and then used a pop dot to secure
the sunflower buttons onto my card.

I did not want to stop just there.

Here is my next card:
We had received one owl with a variety of sentiments.
When I saw the owl, I immediately knew what i wanted to do.
Of course, me being not-so-techno-savvy
had to figure out some things with my photo editing program.
And I did.
I flipped the owl image !!
woohoo for me!!! lol (hey, it's a big deal for me!!)
Again, colored with Prismacolor pencils.
The hearts in the background are inked with Distress Inks.
The branch is cute from my Cricut machine, winter wonderland cartridge.
The buttons (chipboard) are from MME.

My final project is not really mine alone.
My sidekick fell in love with the next set of images, cutie pies.
She 'guided' me into what to use, and not what to us. lol
(ever taken advice from a 5 year old?? lol)
I inked up the background lightly with some Distress Ink--Salty Ocean.
She helped me color the cuties--she is actually pretty darn good at coloring!!
I then cut them out.
(let me tell you, there was a little drama--she wanted to use my scissors.
 Isn't happening, kiddo!! lol)
She then picked out the flower buttons from my jar of
Jesse James buttons.
Snipped off the backing, and popped dot it
(is that an actual term?)
Added some stickers from Echo Park,
et le voila!

Still with me??
Phew!
Thanks for staying with me!
Can't wait to see what you will create!

Friday with some Vintage flair

It's Friday, folks!!
I, for one, am so relieved!
It's been a crazy week:
Little Miss was, and is still, sick; coughing, sneezing--poor thing!
She is getting much better--thankfully.

We have a new neighbor!
Personally, I think this neighbor is the best one yet!

The momma bird decided to make her nest on TOP of the bird house!
We have a great view of her, from our blcony and from inside the house.
The window is right beside our kitchen. I guess she feels safe!
She doesn't fly off when we step out onto the balcony.
The kids are excited---I think it's a great learning experience for them.

Anyways, i will keep you updated on her progress!

Today is Friday, which means it's

I was able to conjure up something this week.
Sometimes, too many ideas in the head,
and they do not come out properly onto paper/canvas.
Frustrating with a capital "F"!

Here is what I did this week.
It is kinda vintage. Something new for me.

I used TH Distress Ink, walnut Stain, on the stamp, from Unity's KOM (Jan.),
and then went over with a fine paint brush.
I then added some color on the woman's dress, with a Distress marker--worn Lipstick.
Also the hearts were done with another marker--Barn red.
I think it gives the card a sepia look--what I was hoping to acheive.
I used older MME papers, and Bo Bunny ribbon,
with WRMK twine to hold the Love charm.

I would also like to enter this card into
following challenges:

Jo's Scrap Shack: FFC #88 It's Sketch time

My card closely resembles the following sketch:

Overall, I am quite content with my card!
So, that is it for me for now!

A la prochain, mes amies!
