Mother's Day card

Happy Saturday!
Thanks for dropping by!

How is the weather where you are?
We WERE having nice weather--sunshine and warmth.
Now--
Cold, and snow. Again!!
 sigh!

Anyways. Onwards.

A new challenge is being held over on the
HIMCR #197--Any Holiday

Well, this is fun.
You have a multitude of choices--
one an get an early start to do Christmas cards
(because you know those always seem to be done at the last minute)
or any other holiday.
I choose Mother's Day.

Our awesome sponsor this sponsor is
the awesome The Paper Shelter.
The DT were given some images to play with (love their images!!)

And, without further adieu,
here is my card:

My daughter 'helped' me (big time!!) with this card--especially the
papers!!
Let me just say a couple of things about
working with a 5 year old princess:
1) She knows it all (seriously--she tells me this!!) We have BIG discussions about this..
2) She is a messy crafter (I have a hard time dealing with this!!) lol
3) She only likes to us the 'good' stuff..hence, my stuff. She knows the difference!!
4) She is very, VERY Glue dot happy!!
LOL
But --
She is mine, and I love her.
Never a dull moment with her!!

So, that is it for me for now.
Have a great day!

Enchanting Sunday....

Hello!!
What a beautiful Sunday!
Me thinks Spring is here.
It is so beautiful outside!
I heard our woodpecker this morning--yep! Spring's here!

I had a chance to do some crafting this afternoon,
in between necessary chores. lol
I had received awhile ago a brand new
collection and was finally able to play with it today.
It was the Simple Stories Enchanted collection.
SWOON!
I love it--it is perfect for my little girl,
excuse me, my princess, or Daddy's princess..

*Excuse the date on the picture--new camera, and I have not fixed the date and settings.

This layout is perfect for a challenge, like the one on the Crafty Steals blog.

The challenge was Use your Stash.

The recipe called for the following:
-journaling card = check (the perfect shoes card)
-washi tape = check (various strips throughout the layout)
-punch = check (used both a heart and circle punch)

Well, that is it for me.
Thanks for stopping by.
Be safe. Get crafty.

Happy Saturday!!

It's Saturday!
Sigh! :D
Love it!

It is a new challenge over on the

#195--Super Scraps Saturday!

Use scraps!!!

Our sponsor this week is the ever adorable
The giveaway is Winner's Choice of 3 images from Scrappers Delights

The DT were given some images to use.
This is my project:
I used my last scrap of Dear Lizzy (I think that is the right name!)
paper--love that paper! The sentiment (stamp) is from
a Simon Says Stamp set found Here.

This card is not the 'normal' size--much smaller.
It is 3x3! lol
Don't ask why it is that small.
It involves husbands, printers, and
a whole heck bunch of confusion! lol

That is it for me today!

Friday with Flair

 Happy Friday!

I was able to create a card for
Unity's Friends with Flair challenge.

I used January's KOM.
I absolutely love that kit!

I used Distress Inks for coloring, with a paintbrush.
Love the effects.
Sorry for the poor image quality, it is nighttime, and
I cannot get good lighting! grr!

That is it for me for now.

There for you...

Happy {Late} Wednesday!

I had a chance to get creative today.
.
Actually, to be honest, and I will be,
I was determined to make a card for a very dear friend
of mine.

She has had a rough time these past few weeks,
and it is not looking good for her husband.

That dreadful 'C' disease...
Spreading...

So sad!
Anyways,
I just wanted to make her a card to let her know
that I am there for her.
Just there.

And I cannot be there where she is because of the distance.
So, I will send her this.
Just to let here know.
To remind her.

I based the card on a sketch over on the
This is the sketch:

I put the sentiment under the design.
I used gold polka dot paper (I think Recollections?), Bazzill
Kraft cardstock, Simon Says Stamp Red Dye Ink. Twine, and Pop Dots.

So, I am linking up my card to the Unity Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.
Be safe. Get crafty.

Thinking Spring

Hiya, fellow peeps!
Hope you are all well.

Today sees a new challenge over on the HIMCR blog.

The challenge #194--Think Spring!!

The sponsor this week is the ever delightful

Always love their images!
My image reminded me of Holly Hobbie,
and made a hanging for my entry way, for Spring!
Come on Spring!!

I embossed with a small flower stamp over here dress,
then used my Distress Ink pads with a paintbrush.
Note to self: get more Distress Ink Pads--they are such a fun medium to use as paints!!
Adhered the colored image to a fave page from
DCWV-The Good Wood stack
Then raided my tin of flowers.
Added a little Stickles to the center.
The letters spelling 'SPRING' on the hearts are from
October Afternoon.

Well, that is it for me.
Have a great day!
Be safe. Get crafty.
