Dream Big with Julie Nutting Dolls

Hiya!
One word: Prima.
Excited yet??
I get little shivers of excitement when I hear about Prima.
Especially those adorable beauties, the Julie Nutting Doll Stamps!!
Have you seen them??
Better yet, have you ever 'played' with them??
Excuse me here, but ...EEEKKK!
Love them so much!
And my little darling loves them.
Even better.
I have made her paper dolls, reminiscent of days gone by.
I had such fun with my paper dolls, and I am so happy that they bring much joy to the Little Miss.
So, where is this going, right?
Well, there is a blog hop over at scrapbookingcafeonline this week.
With the topic being...drum roll please...Julie Nutting Dolls, or Prima dolls for short!
Awesome!
I was so in!!
So, without further adieu, here is my example.

I love to make inspiration collages for my daughter's room.

Words of inspiration for her to remember, and I think especially in this day and age,
it is very important.
So, with the help of Prima, I made this for her room.
I used Glitz papers as the background, a heart doilie, some bling, and a gold heart,
which unfortunately did not show up properly on the camera. I apologize for that.
The sentiment is from Teresa Collins Something Wonderful collection.
I took my doll stamp, and covered here with embossing ink on snow white cardstock.
Once stamped, I used white embossing powder (Inkadinkadoo); heat embossed.
Then took a soft pink ink pad, my ink blending tool, and went all over the white dress with the pink ink.
Hence, this effect. I like it!
So, come and hop with us.
This is my first ever blog hop that I am actually participating. Hopped many a blogs before,
never hosted...

Your next stop on the hop is Czarownica

Boo To You!

 TGIF!
I know I am.
Halloween is fast approaching, and with that holiday,
my dear daughter, who is almost 5, has changed her costume idea several times already!!
And the decorations---oh boy!
We have always decorated our house for Halloween, even when we did
not have kids---it was always fun.
So, lo and behold, darling daughter
decided that WE should start to make decorations, starting last night.
We (lets be honest, it was ME!) used my Cricut machine,
and cut out the letters to form BOO .
Daughter decorated it, as did I, with some stamps, stickers,
and my beloved washi tape.
I attached the letters to some Cosmo Cricket Halloween ribbon, and
VOILA! We have a 'spook'tacular BOO banner!!
Of course, missy had to help with the photo.
She enjoys making crafts, and especially loves my Cricut...:D
How fitting that we made a banner when the challenge for this week over

So, that is it for me for now!
Have a great night!
Be safe. Get crafty!

Prima Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!
May the day bring you lots of smiles!

I was able to play in my craft room the past couple of days--not for long,
but each moment was made to count.
I finally completed a layout that I had been wanting to do for a while.
I based the layout on Prima's sketch for September:

I used Prima's Princess collection, with some Coffee Break's flowers.
The picture came out blue, naturally. It was a grey day, and it came out the way
I envisioned it.
I used the colors from the photo, or tried to.
The papers are from Prima Princess collection; flowers are from Prima Coffee Break and Princess;
letter stickers ('winter') are from Pink Paislee; chipboard letters ('beauty')
are from Studio Calico; pearl strands are from Teresa Collins.
I used Prima gems, and Prima chipboard (clock).
There is also silver embossing done on the background paper, and
along with some Bloom sprays, which can you really see, but they are there.
Fibers and twine are from personal stash
This is my first time submitting a layout to Prima---their creations are
Out Of This World Gorgeous!
But I really wanted to try my hand at a layout like theirs.
I like this layout---it came out great, IMO! :)
That's it for me!
Have a great day!

Christmas....yes, Christmas layout.

Happy Thursday, folks!
Can someone please tell me how we have reached the middle of September already??!
Oh well!
Fall's among us, it seems.
Brisk cold air, colors changing on the trees, geese leaving...
With the changing of the seasons, and also hearing that there was something less than 100
sleeps until Christmas (is that possible?), had me wanting me to hide in my craft room
and come out when it's Spring! Possible??
Nah!
I decided to create a double page layout with some pictures that were taken some time ago,
like say, last Christmas.
I also decided to use up some delicious Christmas paper from DCWV;
and what better way to display their papers than with their monthly Stackaholic Challenge sketch?
September's sketch is this one:

Here is my take:

The stack I used was the Christmas & Winter Rhinestone Stack.
Another gorgeous stack from DCWV. I also used cardstock from their Winter Cardstock
Stack---their gold cardstock is luscious, and the glitter cardstock is
amazing--meaning it does not come off onto your hands! Love that!

Then on my craft desk, I had scraps, and more scraps, from previous projects.
I usually store them in a coordinating color folder--but then remembered about
a challenge for the week over at Hiding In My Craft Room.
Their challenge for this week is:

HIMCR #165 - Super Scraps Saturday!

Awesome!
So, I made a card with my scraps and my new punch,
a leaf punch from EK Success (score at the Dollarama!!)
All scraps, people!
The 'thank you' wood tag is from Jillibean Soup,
and the papers are a mix of DCWV and Simple Stories.

This was such fun to make!
Thank you, Laurie, for having such a fun challenge!
Well, that's it for me, folks!

Have a great evening!
Be safe. Get crafty.

Fall Memories

Happy Tuesday, y'all!
The sun is shining here in Quebec, but it is a tad chilly!
And it does not look to be warming up the next little while....
Sigh!
I guess the summer's over....what little summer we did have.

Anyways, this past weekend saw me get my scrapbook groove on.
Boy, was the inspiration coming out. I was on a ROLL!
I completed 2 layouts, and am almost finished 2 others.
Yippee!

Here's one. I had this photo of my boys when we went to the
Montreal Botanical Garden, in the Fall season, hence the pumpkins.
I love that picture!! It also made me sad because my cute little boys
are no longer 'cute little boys'. They are 16; and are handsome young men.
Don't mind me, I am biased!!

I used an AC white cardstock as my base.
The papers are from Simple Stories Harvest line, die cut with
my TH Tattered Leaves die (liquidation score at M's!!!), and used
my EK Success Leaf punch (Dollaram score!!)
The washi tape is a variety of companies: Bella Blvd, MME, Dollar Store brand.
The acetate letters (first time using them) are from Basic Grey and attached with my TH Tiny Attacher.
The letters (fall) are also from TH Grungeboard Letters, painted with Distress Pain
(white), added a little Martha Stewart glitter, and then used puffy paint on the outline
of the letters.
My pen is Becky Higgens Project Life journaling pen.
Oh, almost forgot! I spletters some spots of a Dylusion Spray. That was my
first step of creating my layout.
This layout was inspired by a layout I saw on Pinterest. Of course,
I didn't pin it, or I can not find it.

I like my layout! lol
Then, the cherry on this??
I realized that this layout is eligible for 2 challenges.

Well, that's it for me!
Have a great day!
Be safe. Get crafty!

Cherish

Happy Sunday folks!
The sun is out on my side of the world; the birds are chirping;
my chickens are squawking up a storm, and I hear geese honking overhead!
Ok--so that part is not too 'happy', but hey, 3 out of 4 is not bad, right?

Yesterday was a rainy day here, so I cleaned a bit in my craft room, and
actually made a layout!! Yay me!

I based the layout on a sketch which I had seen over on Crafty Steal's blog.
And this is what I came up with:
I used papers from AC Dear Lizzy 'Lucky Charm' collection,
and various tid bits from Authentique, Studio Calico,
Amy Tangerine, Jillibean Soup, Fancy Pants Designs, and Teresa Collins.

Well, that's it for me for today---time to refill my coffee!
I am trying to re-vamp my blog--but blogger is giving me hassles!
Grrr!
Anyways, have a great day!

Just to share...

Good evening!
(Imagine that in a husky Dracula sounding voice!! ) *giggle!
Yep, I am tired--it's been a hectic day.
But, I just wanted to share some layouts that I had laying around.
This one was made with an older picture of one of my sons and my baby girl.
It was a beautiful moment, and I think the photo was taken at the best possible moment.
I didn't want to 'overload' the picture, so I kept the elements to a minimum.
Loving the layering look, and tried my hand at that; it's a learning process.
MME, Crate Paper, Teresa Collins elements and papers were used for this layout.

This layout was made for a 1-hour challenge over on Scrapbook Nerd's site.
They were having 'Summer Camp', and had various challenges going, and this 1-hour challenge
was one of them. It was challenging, to say the least!
Fun, but challenging!
I used Fancy Pants Park Bench. Finally broke this kit out!!!
It was my last kit purchased from the now defunct Crop Chocolate.
Sigh!
But the kit is gorgeous!!
All papers are from Fancy Pants; letter stickers are a variety of MM, BG, Lawn Fawn and FP
Wood veneer are from Studio Calico.
So, that is it for me.
I am off to snooze land!
Have a great night!

Oh yeah Baby!

Hiya!
I cannot believe that it is September!
The summer has zoomed by, it seems!
My boys started school today, and they are off to their final year in high school.
WOW--I just felt so old! lol
With the start of school means back to routine.
I think I can manage that--I would not mind getting back on schedule at all.

I was able to get a layout done yesterday. Yep, I think I like routine a whole lot better. :)
I based my layout on a sketch over on Creative Scrappers blog, sketch #257.
I used papers from the Dear Lizzy 'Lucky Charm' collection. Tags are from
October Afternoon, Bella Blvd. and Teresa Collins. Those chipboard heart strings
are actually a border, which I cut, as I only wanted to use a couple of hearts.
They are from Creative Embellishments, and let me say, WOW!
The designs are amazing---so many choices!
Anyways, back to my layout.
The stamped letters are from Fancy Pants Designs stamps, and the ink
used is TH Distress Ink Picked Raspberry.I outlined the letters with my gray pen.
You may see some splatters on the layout--from Mr. Huey.
The 'Remember this' journal spot is from WRMK. The 'Oh Yeah'
letter stickers are from Studio Calico.

Well, that's it for me for now.
Be safe. Get crafty!
