Saturday with any holiday....HIMCR

Just a quick post today, as technology is not being my friend.

 Over on the HIMCR Blog today,you may notice the challenge is not up as usual.
Our fearless leader, Laurie, is in the process of moving into a new home,
and is not able to post the normal challenge.
Have no fear!
She will be posting it shortly.
In the meantime, the DT has been working on the challenge.

Here is my entry. I made 2 cards for Spring, Easter.

 I apologize for the poor picture quality.

 My laptop is in heaven, and I have only my tablet to work with.
Very darn frustrating!!!

Thinking of you this Friday

 

TGIF!

It is  Friday, and I , for one, am ever grateful!

It has been a hectic past month, actually, this whole new year has been 

non stop for me, with health and personal issues coming left right and center!

Anyways, it's Friday!

I was able to construct a lovely card (I think it's lovely!)

with one of my fave stamps from Unity.

I am sending it to one of my dear friends who recently moved, 

and one whom I miss terribly!

I created the background with erasers! That was such a fun technique.

I was so inspired by a card made by a very talented gal, whose name I cannot 

remember if my life depended on it. Sorry!

So, I paired off this stamp with another sentiment, unfortunately, not from Unity.

unity challenge

Happy hump day folks! 

Guess what? 

I was able to create something today.

And.

It is for the Unity monthly challenge,  found on their blog.

I followed the color challenge. 

So pretty! !

Here is what I created.

I colored the image with my Faber Castell pastel pencils.

The papers are from Bella Blvd. The image is stamped with

Hero Arts Shadow Ink grey.

Unity beginnings

 TGIF!

I don't know about you all, but I, for one, am so relieved that it is Friday!

What a week!

After my day yesterday, I retreated to me craft room last night

to unwind.

I didn't have a particular project in mind---

I just wanted to CREATE!!

My Unity January KOTM was on my desk--

and BAM!

An idea struck!!

After several attempts, here is my card:

So, this is my entry for Unity's Friends with Flair.

I used DCWV Gilded Gold paper for the base, Glitz paper, Ranger watercolor

paper, Studio Calico Mr.Huey's watercolor paint, Fancy Pants BeLoved tickets, 

and Maggie Holmes Open Book gold hearts.

The images are stamped with Hero Arts Shadow Ink --grey.

 

So happy to have had the opportunity to make something, and

to break open my kit!!

Mood Board challenge

 Hello!!!

How have all of you been??

It has been a while, has it not??

My life has been....hectic.

My son underwent a spinal fusion operation

a couple of weeks ago, and I have been tending to his needs.

It has been rough.

BUT!

It will all be good!!

Positive thinking!

I was given to opportunity to work in my craft room, thanks to my sweet hubby.

He knew I needed some 'me' time.

And into my craft room I went....with no particular project in mind.

I just wanted to create.

Then, I remembered seeing a great mood board on

I am not one for mood boards, usually. But this one....got me!

I am quite pleased with how it turned out.

It was quite fun mixing all the different papers:

Pink Paislee, Studio Calico, Maggie Holmes

Actually, they are all under the same head: American Crafts, are they not?
