WOW! It's Friday---the week has zoomed past! Of course, it could be because I've been extremely busy! Much has happened this past week. Busy, busy, busy!
With what, you may ask? Well, my friends, we are in the final stage of purchasing our own home. So, with that, it includes meeting the house inspector, which was all good! :)
Which means we're moving soon! <<Fingers crossed!>>
Which means cleaning out stuff, purging things, and packing. Ugh! lol
So, there's that.
Then, there's also my other exciting news!
As many of you know, I love to play along in challenges. My favorite, or rather one of my favorite, is cropchocolate.com. My other favorite is an online Canadian scrapbook store, with great prices, good shipping prices, and a great group of gals, scrapbookersparadise.com. I've played with them a few times now, and won a couple of times. Well, Pam contacted me this past week, and asked me to be a guest designer!!!! WHAT??!! ME??!!
What do you think I did??! Yep! I said yes! (Then I hopped up and down like a rabbit in front of my family, who laughed---they probably think the momma has gone off the ledge!lol)
My first time as Guest Designer! Woohoo!!
So, Pam sent me my prompt--and I must admit, I was stumped! I had to choose my favorite tool, style, technique, etc. ACK!! lol
But I pulled it off, I think. I did a tribute to my dear companion whom we had to put down this past summer.
I used Jillibean sop papers, Simple Stories papers, letters from Echo Park, chipboard letters from Basic Grey, and a brad heart.
Then, because with all this cleaning I'm doing, I found a pack of papers that I had not used---*Gasp!*
And I then found a picture of my little girl from last summer, which I thought would be fitting for a certain paper from one of my favorite designers, Amy Tangerine. How could have I NOT used any of her papers?? Could it be because I have too much?? NAH! lol
I colored the flowers with my new watercolor pencils I bought myself last week. Those are fun!
I used Amy Tan's Sketchbook paper, camera die and brad, Carta Bella True friends papers, October Afternoon 'Happy" card, and journal tags, Sunshine tag is from Echo Park. I pulled out my MM Slice machine to cut out the word 'beauty'.
I am pretty happy with my layouts--what an exiting week for me. I hope it only gets better!
So, that's it in a nutshell! Thanks you Pam, and Scrapbooker's Paradise for giving me a chance! I love playing along with your challenges!
Have a great week. Be safe. Get crafty!
Laura

They look so wise, and in the case of your dog -- you can tell he was well loved. What a lovely tribute to him. And your other LO is beautiful also.
