What a beautiful day!

It has been an exhausting week--

I have been laid out with a

nasty virus, and had an asthma

attack that freaked me out. It

had been years, and I seriously mean years, 

since I had experienced one, and

I was totally unprepared for it.

I am still feeling the effects, but am 

doing much better now.

Thank goodness!

Anyways, onwards!

Let me say, quite a challenge---

so many darn cute ones!

I chose Mermella Steampunk Siren.

She is so gorgeous!

And this is what I created:

I used my new Prima watercolor confections paints--

they are so yummy...

Work like butter, I tell you.

I didn't really follow the lines, I just blended and blended 

with my paints...I like how

she turned out! :)

The sentiment is from a Prima stamp. 

The papers are from Graphic 45 

'Steampunk Spells' collection, 

and the gears chipboard are from 

Creative Embellishments.

I added copper Stickles glitter glue

in the center of the gears.

I also added a bit of silver and gold 

permanent marker along some of my

girl's design.

I think Spring has arrived---

the weather is so mild here in Quebec.

Although I love my 4 seasons in

Canada, I am kinda tired of all

this snow. Winter is over, 

next season please!

I chose Bunny Love.

A beautiful Easter set with vintage like bunnies.

I used my scrap papers for this little guy.

The polka dot paper is from Echo Park.

The bunny is colored with Prismacolor colored pencils.

The felt flowers were given to me by

Pocket page pen pal, and I added 

an enamel dot in the center of each flower.

What a week---

uber busy for moi and my Sisters by marriage..

It is my mother-in-law's 65th Birthday party today!

And she doesn't know know about it...!

EEEK!

So much work went into this. lol

And I will be honest, I will be so relieved when it is over...

I don't know about you all, but

I am so relieved that it is the weekend...lol

After my day yesterday, yep...I am 

so relieved that the weekend is here.

What happened yesterday, you may ask?

Well, my friends, I spent the

day in my daughter's Kindergarten class....all day.

I love being able to participate in the

class with my daughter and her classmates...

But holey cannoli!! What a bunch! 

In total, 21 kids.....celebrating 

Dr.Seuss's birthday.

Which, technically, is next week, 

but it is Winter Break for our schools in 

our province, so no school.

21 kids celebrating, with treats...cupcakes.

yowza!

lol

Anyways, I survived. 

And I have the utmost respect for teachers 

who do this for a living...

I was exhausted!! lol.

Enough griping. onwards.

Here is what I came up with.

I used my new Tim Holtz

Crazy Cats stamps (swoon!!!)

I used my Derwent Watercolor Pencils on my kitty, 

who was stamped with Ranger Archival Ink.

I also used the Crazy Birds accessories and sentiments 

to complete my kitty.

The patterned papers are from Jillibean Soup, 

an older collection.

Now, I know what some of you may be thinking...

birthdays are not a holiday..

Well, in our household, they kinda are..

ask my daughter! lol

We have always celebrated the birthdays like

a holidays---it is a tradition in our house.

(plus, I asked our fearless leader, Laurie, 

and she gave me the Okay! lol)

I said it before, and will say it again--

So, anyways, Saturday means one

I remember the very first time I received

papers from Paper Temptress, 

I. Was. Blown. Away!

these papers are gorgeous--

Clean and Simple, 

well, the hardest part was choosing

which ones to use...lol

Here is what I designed:

Very simple.

I stamped some images with a stamp set

I acquired some time ago, 

a Fancy Pants Designs stamp set.

Such a great stamp set!

The 'thanks' is a die cut from a swap

I participated in a few months back.

I outlined some of the flowers with

a black Prismacolor brush marker.

The enamel dots are from My Mind's Eye.

Sweet and simple.

Honestly, when I saw the images, ideas were

just swimming in my head--

cards, PL layouts..notes!!!!

There are 4 styles in this set.

I made Valentine's for my loved ones--

and using scraps--

double bonus!

I used a large piece of black Bazzill cardstock,

Taylored Expressions Woodgrain embossing folder, 

Colorbox white ink, Fancy Pants Designs Love Story paper

(heart script), Crate Paper Love Notes (pink/red hearts)

and the red double hear is from K & Company.

The stamp image (Will you be my Valentine) is from

Simon Says Stamp set, designed by Kristina Werner, 

stamped in Ranger Archival Ink, outlined in red Sharpie marker.

 This second card  is made with scraps from Crate Paper
Love Notes and kiss, Kiss collection---
stickers included!

My final card is using pink paper
from Crate Paper (unsure if it is Kiss, Kiss or
Love Notes--sorry!)
The vellum is a paper I received in a swap--
it is absolutely gorgeous!

Hey there, lovely peeps!

It is Saturday,

well, dogs are my besties! lol

here is my project:

I used my Prismacolors colored pencils, 

and I tried something new. 

I blended with a dab of baby oil on a Qtip.

It really changed the look!

I was shocked--yay--so happy!

The papers used are from

Fancy Pants Design 'True Friend' Collection.

I thought this would be perfect!
