A new Fold

Happy Saturday!

Had a good week??

It has been a whirlwind of a week for me...

I am starting a new job this coming Monday (eek!!)

and am scrambling to get everything

in place..lol

But it's all good!

Anyhow.

A new challenge starts over on 

the Hiding In My Craft Room blog today.

I made a tri-fold card.

I have always been intrigued by those!

I used papers from Donna Salazar 'Weathered Winter' collection,

 the element stickers are from Simple Stories,

Gold paper is from DCWV.

I used scraps from my Christmas/winter folder

(what? You don't do that??lol)

My little guys are colored with a mix

of Pitt pastel pencils, and Pebbles

chalks. 

The snowflake die cuts are from stash.

WoW!

What a week!

I am so mixed up with the days--

let me say, it is rough with the kiddo out of school.

I thought yesterday was Wednesday, and

when I did realize it was Friday, 

I had to scramble to get my project done

for Hiding In My Craft Room.

Good grief!

And I knew time would be short for me to 

do my blog post, so, 

unfortunately I had to take a picture

of my project with it still being wet.

OYE!

LOL

Here is my project:

My bear is colored with

Prismacolor pencil crayons, 

and I used glitter glue on my bear's

hat and boots.

His bow is accented with puffy paint.

stickers, just because. :)

Me And My Big Ideas.

has started for my little Miss!

I knew I wanted to give

this guy a vintage feel.

How was your week??

My week was...bizarre

Weather-wise, anyways.

The temperature dropped dramatically--

so much I put my scarf on. lol

It is a running joke in my household--

my kids know when it is cold--I put

my scarf on--yeah, weird!

And the wind---yessh!  Let's just

say there were times when I felt like my

whole house was going to end up 

elsewhere! wacky!

Alright, enough gabbing!

Hello, fellow peeps!

How unusual for me to write a blog post on Monday, right??

Well, I am trying to become more consistent with

my blog. More blog posts.

I was recently asked an interesting question by

a fellow crafter.

A frustrated crafter.

I was asked where I purchase my crafty goodies.

Interesting question, I think.

My friend was frustrated with the Canadian dollar

being low as it is, and hinders her from

purchasing from the multitude of online US shops.

Also, in our area, or even remotely close, 

we are very limited to crafting stores.

We do have a Michael's about 1 hour away, 

but we are frustrated with them the

majority of the time.

So, I thought I would share with you 

a compiled list of my favorite Canadian 

online crafty retailers.

Where I get my goods! lol

The majority of them are in Ontario

I am going to keep this short, 

so it will be my top 5, and maybe an honorable mention. :)

1. ScrapbookNerd.com

This is my go-to place!

It is owned by 2 scrapping ladies, Joy and Barb.

 It has unbeatable prices, awesome service, 

and a forum that is fun!

(oh, and I am on the Design Team!)

they also have a HOLD IT option, so you can

get free shipping after $150.

Their motto: If you want it, we can get it!

2. Scrappin Great Deals

Sheila and the Divas are awesome!

What I cannot get at ScrapbookNerd.com, I get here.

Seriously awesome service, great prices.

3. One Crazy Stamper

Another fantastic place!

Lora (the owner) is absolutely wonderful!

Great prices, and wonderful service!

4. Ninabrook

Awesome place! Cheap shipping!!

The products change--but there is always something

Those who know me, know that

I am very cautious with my money, and am 

always looking for the best prices.
