Friend indeed

HELLO!
I am still in shock that it is June---
the first half of 2016 is already done!
Unbelievable, is it not??

This week, as usual on Saturdays,
there is a new challenge happening on

HIMCR #253 - Summer Colors!

And the sponsor this week is:

The giveaway is two 2 Cute Ink images!

The Design Team had some images
use for this week's challenge,
and this is what I created:

I used a Doodlebug Design card as my base,
it had already a die cute center.
The flowers are rubons from Basic Grey, as
is the sentiment.
The prayer bear is colored with Prismacolor
colored pencils.

So, get out those craft supplies,
and create something with summer colors!!
You have until next Saturday, June 11th
at 2 a.m. Central to link up!

Until next time,
Be safe. Get crafty!

I got crafty....

Hi y'all!

WOW! It's been 2 weeks since my last post. I apologize....life has thrown me a few curve balls lately. Lots of drama, and stress! I won't bore you with the details, that's not what I want to blog about.

So, as some of you may know, my fave online site has shut down their retail site, but not their social site, which is a small relief. But it seemed, and it still does, to not have their weekly challenge, and the usual banter on the site. BUT!!! The weekly challenges have made their return!! woot woot! :)

Cocoa creations # 1--- Let's Celebrate!

Make a card, layout, or project to celebrate someone's birthday! Easy peasy!

Here's my entry.  I used BG paper (red), MME washi tape, the 'candles' are rolled papers from EP and MME,  there's Cosmo Cricket rub ons on the washi tape. The 'Celebrate'  rub on, The twine, or 'wicks' are from Queen and Co.

I then decided to check out other challenge blogs---I felt like I needed to change my train of thought, that's how bad my thoughts were going...seriously, not pretty! But it's much better now, don't worry!

Now I also like DCWV...their stacks are pretty darn cool. I don't have many, as they are expensive to ship from the States, because, well, they're Stacks, and pretty heavy!! And I do not get to Michael's too often to purchase them, with my coupon that is!! I refuse to pay almost 30$ for a stack of papers, even if they are beautiful!! Anyways, I scored big time, and I mean BIG time with the purchase of this stack. Nine bucks for this Stack and the rubons included, found in the liquidation part of Walmart! It's the SWEET stack, and yep! It was a SWEET deal indeed! lol

So, I took on their sketch for the month of May. My first time. And I'm not so sure of it. But it's kinda cute...but kinda missing something.

Of course, my subject was my little monkey April. Cheeky monkey/monster...depending on the hour/day...lol.

I then decided to tackle another challenge.

Yeah baby!

I made this card out of my scraps for the Shopping Our Stash Weekly Challenge #101--Scrap Attack, which can be found here.

Here's my entry. I used my scraps from Carta Bella True Friends and EP Sweet Girl (2 of my current fave kits of ALL time!!). A few scraps from other EP papers, and MME papers. The sentiment is from Elle's Studio. I also used my sewing machine--can you believe that??!! Say WHAT?? haha.

So those are my crafty projects today----I definitely need to do this---thank you Keith, for letting me getting crafty!!

Now, I believe I am going to pop a movie on, and watch it with my kids!

Have a great night. Get crafty. Be safe.

Quick post, quick card

Happy Thursday, everyone!

Thursday! Yesterday felt like a Friday for me, and today feels like a....Tuesday?? But not actually because I work on Tuesdays, and I'm not at work today. Weird.

Anyhows, a quick post today.

I did a quick card this morning because I have a friend's birthday coming up, and believe it or not, I did not have time to do anything these past few days.

I am also entering this into a challenge because it meets the requirements...bling! lol

Very easy peasy. All I had time for, really.

I used BG papers, Tim Holtz Distress ink pads, Fancy Pants stamps, and bling from my local dollar store.

Very simple!! But effective, I think!

That's it for me today. DD is taking up all my time!!!!! lol

Have fun. Be safe. Get crafty!
