August Blog Hop GIU

Happy Sunday!
I hope you are enjoying this
glorious weekend!

A couple of weeks ago, Maria, from Unity,
contacted me to find out if I was available to blog
hop with the other girls from May and June.

Uhh...YES!!!

So, I sent my response, and shortly afterwards,
I received my stamp to work with
for the scheduled hop.
As soon I saw the stamp,
which I open at the mailbox
(couldn't wait to get home!!)
ideas were swimming in my head!!
I received the beautiful
Grace Girl, created by Angie Blom.

 Grace Girl

Here is what I created:

I used papers from Simple Stories Harvest line,
gold embossed paper from DCWV,
my leaf punch from EK Success.
She is colored with a variety of watercolors
from Prima and Derwent.
She also has a bit of Stickles.

I really enjoyed coloring her!
So, don't forget to hop along,
and leave comments on all the GIU girls blogs.
You just might be the lucky winner to
receive a prize pack from Unity!!

Happy Saturday!
I hope you are enjoying the summer!
I cannot believe that July is almost over!

My boys will be leaving next month for college.
I don't think I am mentally prepared for that---
Are any parents actually prepared for that??!!
sigh!

Anyways, enjoying my time now, right?

New challenge over on the

BUT, bear with me,
Christmas in July!!

A great time to kick start the holiday craft frenzy!

I don't know about you,
I always seem to run out of tags.
So, I made tags!!

I used mostly scraps of paper,
and a modge podge of embellishments from my stash.
I am not usually a tag making person,
but I had lots of fun making these!
Will be making more,
that is for sure!

I am also linking this up over onto

The DT were given some images to 'play' with,

I challenged myself this week to use
papers that I wouldn't normally use,
along with embellishments.
The papers are from Prima Julie Nutting's line,

I am unsure of what brand.

Prismacolors.

The DT were given to opportunity to
work with an image from SD.

Here is what I came up with
 the theme in mind:

I pulled out some winter themed papers for this little beauty,
which was colored with Prismacolors pencils.

Basic Grey and My Mind's Eye.
I used an embossing folder from Sizzix/Basic Grey,
and
the snowflake is also from Sizzix/Basic Grey.
The snow flakes in the fairy's hand
 are from Jesse James buttons;
the blue jewel is from Doodlebug Designs.
The mistletoe are very old--I do not
remember where where I got them!
